IGN has named their Top 25 Games of All Time across the different IGN channels, with Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn (#7), Jade Empire (#5), and Star Wars: KotOR (#4) named among them. Check out the full PC and Xbox lists at IGN.

Gratz!
I'm actually sort of amazed that y'all didn't come even closer to running the Top Ten. "Planescape: Torment," although supposedly not as huge a hit as the other Baldur's Gate type games, remains a sentimental favorite for sheer atmosphere. Guess they didn't want to name two games so closely related to each other, but still....
Ah, well. Those of us in the know can assign the credit where it is due. |

That's great that some excellent BioWare titles got recognized by IGN's Xbox and PC reviewers though their rankings don't match up with my own. BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire: SE are respectively #1 and #3 on my personal "Top 25 Games" list. |

Whew, for a moment there I thought JE and KotOR beat out BG2 on the list (not to mention all those other PC games) until I realized that JE and KotOR are on the console list, not the PC list. Good thing!

Yeah UFO was definately in a tie for number one spot for me too. It was such an incredible game. It was a squad builder's tactical wet dream. I do think that Starcraft should NOT be on that list. I would also move fall out and BG II closer to the #1. I would probably include Ultima 6 serpents isle on that list somewhere. And I may throw in a Full throttle or Sam and max in there somewhere too. |
