In the PC version, will there be more content woth some characters who seemed cut short, like Chai Ka, Forest Shadow, or that incarnation of evil in Dirge? Or places, like the burning jail in tien's landing? |

The PC FAQ describes the new things for the PC game over the Xbox version (with no mention of additional content). Furthermore, in the FAQ sticky at the top of this forum is the following:
Quote: We are not re-designing the game. The core story of Jade Empire will remain mostly the same between the Xbox and the PC.
That suggests no new content in terms of characters or story, so I wouldn't expect any. However, stay tuned as the game comes closer to release. You never know when you might be surprised by some little tidbit that is thrown in for fans. Oh, that's not hinting at anything. Really. I'm just saying.... Oh, nevermind. _________________ And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad These dreams in which I'm dying, are the best I've ever had |

From the FAQ:
Quote: Each character has a unique appearance, custom voice set, and a powerful combination of fighting styles and ability scores.
Well.. that's new! |

Quote: 1.03: What is new for the PC version of Jade Empire? There are several exciting new features for Jade Empire on the PC, including: Customizable, intuitive controls optimized for PC gaming, including support for game-pads and keyboard/mouse. Increased graphics resolutions and new visual effects. New monsters and enemies. New fighting styles. Improved combat AI and difficulty levels. New world map interface. I'm looking forward to the new fighting styles, and AI. _________________ The Fish is mightier than the sword. |

Yep, all sorts of other new things. The original question was regarding content in terms of character development stories or new areas, neither of which are expected. Plenty of other upgraded stuff, though. _________________ And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad These dreams in which I'm dying, are the best I've ever had |

Will the PC version contain all the content that was in the Xbox Limited Edition or just the content from the regular edition? |

From the CUJEFAQ at the top of the forum:
Quote: Posted 06/23/06 17:15:39 (GMT) by Kevin Lynch An update: Will the PC Jade Empire be based on the "Basic" X-Box version, or the "Limited Edition" X-Box version with Monk Zheng?Quote: Posted 06/23/06 15:49:47 (GMT) by Chris Priestly Here's a little game update for you. Monk Zeng WILL be in the game (barring any kind of last minute complications or unexpected hoojamaboob).
From this thread.

This is why it's good to wait for a PC release, although it took some time you almost always end up with some content that the console game didn't have, feels like january is not as far away anymore _________________ Beavaa! Las Vegas! |

Possibly, but if the did it the other way around (PC to console) you'd probably end up with a console version with additional content. We're just lucky because most games go console->PC (if you consider it lucky that we have to wait a year or more for the port). _________________ And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad These dreams in which I'm dying, are the best I've ever had |

Y'know what would be nice seeing as the games being revamped, a lot of the time you end up talking to characters who all look the same so it would be nice if some of the generic chars got their own face. It'd just be better. |

I wonder how the controls will port over? Will you need a controller? I don't like doing combos with a keyboard |

You won't need a controller, but the game will allow you to use a controller if you wish.
