In the demo it seemed like strong and weak attacks did the same amount of damage. For example it takes two strong attacks to kill a rat demon just like it takes two weak attacks to kill one. So I was wandering if the only difference between the two is the strong attacks' ability to break shields and the weak attacks' greater speed? |

No. Strong attacks are, by definition, stronger than weak attacks. I don't think the demo fully illustrates the differences between the two. _________________ *BioWare*: Here's an idea for a game... seeing as bioware has not fully defined strong and weak attacks for us, I don't think you can quote the definition. Perhaps the demo just doesn't show it well but from everything I've seen in the demo so far (and i looked real close) they do the same amount of damage. Which means that weak attacks are actually better for dishing out damage since you can do them faster and in a combination. I think strong attacks are just to break through enemy defenses. |

I haven't actually played the demo, but maybe the rat demon is too weak. Lets say it had 12 HP, and a weak attack did 7 damage, and a strong attack did 11. You would still need two attacks, whether you used strong or weak. If a demon had 19 HP, then you'd need 3 weak attacks, but only two strong ones. Maybe it's all relative, but I don't actually know. hope it helps anyways _________________ I tried to keep an open mind but my brain kept falling out |

Strong attacks and weak attacks both halve their health bar so I don't think it could be that. |

In the dinished version of the game, where there be an option that allows me to see the exact number of dmg that I am doing? Personally, I like to see how much more dmg I am doing from Level up to Level up. _________________ "The weak die and the strong survive," *lord Shi-Shi-Oh |

In the finished version of the game, will there be the option to see the actual number od damage you are doing? Personally, I like to see how much damage I am dishing out from level up to level up, even tho it might decrease the realism. _________________ "The weak die and the strong survive," *lord Shi-Shi-Oh |

Keep in mind the demo was from well before Xmas and was not yet correctly balanced.
Strong attacks do more damage and can break through blocks, but they are slower and can be interrupted. Weak attacks do less damage and don't break blocks, but are much faster, so yuou can usually hit more often. They are also harder (but not impossible) to interrupt.

That's good to hear. The demo either doesn't have different damages or it's just hard to notice a difference. Weak attacks would be too powerful if they did the same amount of damage as the strong attack. |
